Caramel Walnut Tart
Ingredients:
For the dough:
2 cups flour
125 g cold butter (diced)
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
1/4 cup cold water
For the filling:
1/2 cup caramel flavored syrup
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup butter
1/2 cup cream
1, 5 cups coarsely chopped walnuts
Preparation:
Preparation of the dough:
- Mix flour and granulated sugar in a bowl. Add cold butter and knead the mixture until it becomes like sand.
- Add cold water little by little and gather the dough. Wrap it in stretch film and let it rest in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
Cooking the dough:
- Preheat the oven to 180°C. Roll out the dough on a floured surface and place it in the tart mold.
- Pierce it in several places with a fork, spread baking paper on it and put a weight on it and bake for 15 minutes. Then remove the weight and cook for another 5 minutes.
Preparation of the filling:
- In a pot, mix the caramel flavored syrup, sugar and butter and melt over medium heat.
- When it starts to boil, add the cream and cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring.

Assembling the tart:
- Pour the filling you prepared onto the baked tart base and spread it evenly.
- Bake it in the oven for another 10 minutes to caramelize it slightly.
- Serve it by slicing after it has cooled.
